Madrid? Why
Madrid City currently is undergoing an evolution in great strides in its image as a city, today many body works have been carried out, being the latest to cite some examples, the Caixa Forum, and the four towers madrid whose environment was completed with the draft Mansilla & Tuñón. The image of the city in my opinion has changed its symbolic aspect, from the representative image of the towers originally kio this new symbol, which is appreciated since we are accessing the city, and I want to create this theme for discussion, Does this architecture is disruptive to the environment? Maybe should have been made lower height? Does the choice is ideal, as a milestone excessive demands attention?
Here is a picture of International Convention Center of the City of Madrid (the new sun of Madrid) was used for the contest
From my point of view, the height is somewhat excessive in relation to the rest of Madrid, the same over the years, urbanization in their environment so that is not so cold and so invasive this new architecture, and of course remains to be seen the construction of this new milestone, this sun , which appears in the image dusk Madrid
And one last question, what I seem more able to see, because the skyscrapers are becoming so many years you would expect any development does not fall into the cliché of continually repeating something, so from my view removing that filter only saves the Norman Foster and partners, and the draft Mansilla & Tuñón
Finally another example of a skyscraper that breaks with tradition instead of falling into the trivial game of climbing higher and higher Give up the height to win the game of shapes and defy gravity
